Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Automatically Call Contacts with Extensions in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

If you often make a call to a contact whose phone number has extensions, instead of entering the extensions number manually each time you call him, you can make it simpler by setting your phone to automatically call the extensions. All you have to do is by adding a pause or a comma(,) after the regular phone number and then add the extensions number. By doing this, once the call is answered, your phone will wait for 2 seconds before dialing the next set of the extensions number after the pause or comma(,).

How to add a pause into a contact for auto dialing extensions?
As the example, say that you're going to call your friend at his company. Your friend's company phone number is 1234567899 and the extensions is 231. You can set your phone to automatically call the extensions by adding a pause and the extensions number after the regular phone number by using the following steps:
  1. Open Contacts app.
  2. If needed, tap the Contacts tab to view your contacts list.
  3. Tap the required contact.
  4. Tap to edit the selected contact.
  5. Tap the phone number field to edit it and display the on-screen keyboard.
  6. Tap and then tap to insert a pause or comma(,) after the regular phone number.
  7. Tap and then enter the extensions number.
  8. Now, your friend's phone number will look like this: 1234567899,231
  9. Tap Save button to save the changes.
  10. Tap next to the phone number to call the contact.
  11. When the call is accepted, your phone will automatically call the extensions number after waits for 2 seconds.
