Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Remove White Frames Around Faces Within a Photo in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat
Face tag
is a Facebook-like feature that can be found in the stock Gallery app.
This is a neat feature that will let your phone scans your photos using
facial recognition to detect faces within the photos. When a face has
been detected, a white frame will be appeared around the face to let you
tag a contact or name to the face. But, as same as other features, this
feature is loved by some but hated by other. Thus, if you're distracted
with the white frames around the faces when viewing your photos then
you can easily get rid those frames from your photos by disabling the
face tag feature in the stock Gallery app.
How to turn off the face tag feature in the stock Gallery app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
- Open the stock Gallery app.
- Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
- Scroll the screen to the very bottom.
- Clear the checkbox next to the Face tag to disable it.
- The face tag feature has been disabled and the white frames around the detected faces within pictures will be removed.
